Israel-Hamas War: Israel changes foreign minister amid war with Hamas; Now expressed confidence in Yisroel Katz instead of Eli Cohan
The cabinet reshuffle took place in Israel amid the ongoing war with Hamas. The Israeli government has approved the appointment of a new Foreign Minister in place of Eli Cohen. Let us tell you that this appointment is subject to Israeli parliamentary approval.
Eli Kohan will continue to serve as a member of the security cabinet, while Yisrael Katz will take charge of the Foreign Ministry, a government statement said.
What is the whole matter?
The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas started the war on October 7 by firing missiles one after another at Israel. The war between Israel and Hamas has completed 85 days and there is no information as to when it will stop. However, 1200 people were killed and 240 people were taken hostage in the Hamas attack. Amidst this development the new Foreign Minister was appointed.
Green signal for municipal elections
The Israeli government also gave the green light to postponed municipal elections to be held in February, subject to parliamentary approval. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said that we do not normally hold elections in times of war, but these elections are already scheduled and they have already been postponed once.
