Uttarakhand: Beware of people playing DJ till late night on 31st and creating ruckus, police made concrete arrangements

The celebration of the Thirty First and preparations for the arrival of the New Year have been completed. People are celebrating in their own way. In such a situation, the police administration has also completed all preparations to ensure that there is no disruption in the celebrations. SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena has said that on the occasion of Thirty First and New Year, the police will keep an eye on those who play loud DJ and create ruckus after drinking alcohol.

SSP Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena has appealed to the people not to play loud DJ on the occasion of Thirty First and New Year. Orders have been given to take strict action against those who do so. SSP has said that as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court, hotel and resort operators as well as DJ operators have been instructed not to play DJ after 10 pm. If any person is found playing DJ, strict legal action will be taken against him. Besides, action will also be taken against DJ playing of high caliber.

He has said that action will be taken against DJ playing after 10 pm in forest areas and populated areas. If a hotel or resort owner organizes an event, he can do so within the premises, but his voice should not go out. Apart from this, if any complaint comes from anywhere about loud DJ playing, then action will be taken against the DJ operator. He said that police personnel have been put on duty to take action against the rioters. On the arrival of the New Year, some anti-social elements get drunk and create ruckus in public places, which is wrong.

Therefore, instructions have been given to all the police stations and outpost in-charges of the district to deal with anti-social elements. Apart from this, strict monitoring is being maintained at hotels, Dharamshala, parks, main markets, railway stations and bus stands in the city. Intelligence system and a special team of departmental employees including women police in plain clothes will monitor every area.

Police tightened its gear in Dehradun too

Doon Police has made all its preparations for the celebration of the evening of Thirty-First. In view of the security on the occasion of New Year, Doon Police has divided the city into 6 zones and 11 sectors. The responsibility of the zone has been given to CO level officers and the responsibility of the sector has been handed over to the police station in-charge. Also, SSP Ajay Singh has clearly directed that action will be taken against those who create ruckus on roads and public places after drinking alcohol. Barriers have been made at Jogiwala, Bengali Kothi, Sahastradhara Crossing, Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium Chowk, Mussoorie Diversion, Shimla Bypass, Asharodi, Kuthal Gate, Ballupur Chowk and Sai Mandir. Besides, 44 barriers have also been made in different police station areas in the city.

Where three male and female constables will be on duty in different shifts till 2 am and home guards will also be deployed. Besides, all the police station in-charges will appoint two Cheetah mobiles, one SI, one constable and two mobile teams each in their respective police station areas and will check all the hotel bars. 31st December i.e. from 6 pm to 2 am, 30 mobile teams will be deployed in the city for traffic and security arrangements.
