Even IAS and PCS were not spared if corruption allegations were made – CM Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a record of taking major action against corruption in his tenure of just two and a half years. Especially in the passing year 2023, the government sent 19 people, including four officers, to jail in 18 traps involved in corruption, whereas in just two and a half years of its tenure, the Dhami government has done maximum 38 traps and put 40 corrupt people behind the bars.

Chief Minister Dhami took swift action against those involved in corruption. In this, a record 64 arrests of the accused were made to break the back of the counterfeiting mafia system. Gangster action was taken against 24. Illegal assets worth more than Rs 17 crore were confiscated from all of them, while action to confiscate assets is going on against more than 12 accused. The government has taken major action by arresting the controversial IAS Ram Vilas Yadav and IFS Kishan Chand on serious charges of corruption and sending them to jail.

After the Vigilance action, now the Central Investigation Agency ED (Enforcement Directorate) has also started action against both the officers in the case of disproportionate assets. From January to December in 2023, Vigilance took swift action against the corrupt. 18 were trapped and four officers and 15 employees were put in jail.

People came forward through toll free number

In April 2022, Vigilance received about 423 complaints related to corruption on toll free number 1064. Whose vigilance is investigating thoroughly. In some of these cases, trap action has been taken, while in some cases the action is in progress.

Major action in registry fraud

Chief Minister Dhami has taken seriously the issue of fake registry of other people’s lands in the capital and missing documents in the record room. The Chief Minister himself reached the record room and saw the arrangements. After this, SIT investigation was set up in the matter. In this case, the police have sent more than 13 accused to jail, including the famous lawyer of the gang. Investigation is going on.

Major action in enemy property case in Haridwar

The government had recently given Vigilance the investigation into the capture of enemy property worth crores in Haridwar and those complicit in it. Vigilance has filed a case against more than 10 government employees and land grabbers including a PCS officer in this case.

Demons of corruption have no place in Devbhoomi. No matter how big the corrupt person was, our government took strict action with impartiality. Good governance and corruption free governance is our priority. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this. Police and investigating agencies have also been instructed to conduct impartial investigation in every case related to corruption.
