Uttarakhand: BJP leader accused of raping a teenage girl, Congress opens front against the government

A case has been registered against the Mandal President of BJP under several sections including POCSO for raping a teenage girl in Champawat. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint against the BJP leader to the police. Police have registered a case against the accused leader. The opposition has opened a front against the government regarding the matter.
Congress opened front against the government
After the matter came to light, angry Congressmen burnt effigies across the state today. In Dehradun, the Metropolitan Congress burnt the effigy of the Mandal President at Astley Hall Chowk. Along with this, strict action has been demanded against the accused leader. Congress says that on one hand, the government runs Beti Bachao Beti Bachao campaign and on the other hand, its leaders do such wrong things.
Told the government of double engine as failure
In Dehradun, Haldwani as well as in Tehri, Congressmen protested against the government. Former MLA of the area Om Gopal Rawat termed the BJP’s double engine government as a failure on every front and said that women are not at all safe in the state. Cases of atrocities against women are continuously increasing.
Will be forced to protest
Congress leader Om Gopal Rawat said that Congress will take to the streets to protest against the corruption and immorality happening in the state. If needed, Congress will soon start a jail bharo movement.

BJP’s Talladesh Mandal President Kamal Rawat has been accused of raping a minor girl living in a village in Champawat district. It is being told that the BJP leader was raping a minor for a long time. On the complaint of the victim’s mother, a case was registered against the accused leader.
