The incident took place on Monday morning in Ingoria, about 25 km from Ujjain district headquarters, and the deceased have been identified as accused Savita’s husband Radheshyam (41) and her brother-in-law Dheeraj (47). Ingoria police station in-charge Chandrika Singh Yadav said, “Radheshyam died on the spot, while Dheeraj died of gunshot wounds at Badnagar hospital. After this the accused surrendered with the pistol.” Yadav said, “She first shot her husband and then her brother-in-law.

35-year-old Savita is an Anganwadi worker. Savita and Radheshyam were married 22 years ago. The couple has two daughters and a 15-year-old son. At present there is mourning in the house. There is a stir in the entire Ingoria village regarding this incident.

‘Brother-in-law wanted to grab land worth Rs 5 crore, used to make her husband intoxicated’

In this case, the accused woman told the police that her brother-in-law Dinesh wanted to grab her valuable land worth Rs 5 crore on the four-lane highway and due to this, her husband used to make Radheshyam intoxicated. She told that under the influence of her brother-in-law, her husband used to beat her every day. On Monday morning, her husband was abusing her, due to which she got angry and took out a pistol from under the bed. First shot the brother-in-law and then killed the husband. The woman said that she took this step after being fed up with the daily assault and violence. He said that he committed this crime for the sake of the future of his two daughters and one son.
