Supreme Court stays the decision to transfer Himachal Police Director General Sanjay Kundu to another post

The Supreme Court has stayed the December 26 order of the Himachal Pradesh High Court transferring Himachal Police Director General Sanjay Kundu to another post. The Supreme Court has ordered that the posting of Kundu on the post of Principal Secretary of AYUSH will not be effective for the time being. The Supreme Court also asked the High Court to decide within two weeks on Kundu’s application to withdraw the order.

Let us tell you, after the decision of the High Court, on Tuesday, the government removed Kundu from the post of DGP and appointed him Principal Secretary AYUSH. Besides, ADGP CID Satwant Atwal has also been given additional charge of DGP. Now what the government will do remains to be seen. Sanjay Kundu had gone to the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision. Now the decision has come in his favor.
