Uttarakhand: On the instructions of ACS Radha Raturi, the Tourism Department should work on mission mode for the earliest grounding of the MOU made in the tourism sector under the Global Investors Summit
Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has instructed the Tourism Department to work on mission mode for the earliest grounding of the MOU made in the tourism sector under the Global Investors Summit. He has advised the officials to work especially on dedicated follow-up as well as quick resolution of all the problems of the investors.
On Wednesday, at the Secretariat, ACS Mrs. Radha Raturi reviewed the grounding of MoUs worth about Rs 47000 crore made by various companies with the Tourism Department under the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit.
ACS Mrs. Raturi has instructed the department that for grounding of MOU, dedicated nodal officers for each project will have to be always available to take continuous feedback from the investors and assist them from the ground level to the higher level of governance. Mrs. Radha Raturi said that the tourism sector is the backbone of the state’s economy, only its development will open the way for self-employment, employment and curb migration in the state. Every MoU signed in this area is very important and every possible effort should be made to implement all the MoUs on the ground.
It was informed in the meeting that various 64 MoUs related to tourism sector will soon start working on the ground. Serious work is going on on grounding of 52 MOUs and action is underway on 319 MOUs, whose encouraging results will be available soon. Senior officials of the Tourism and Industry Department including Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Sachin Kurve, MD SIDCUL Rohit Meena and Additional Secretary Mrs. Pooja Garbyal were present in the meeting.
