Uttar Pradesh: UP Police Inspector reached the court to testify against Azam Khan

The Inspector’s testimony has been completed in a case of Dungarpur incident against Samajwadi Party’s National General Secretary Azam Khan. The court will now hear this case on January 17. Cases of Dungarpur incident were registered against Azam Khan in Ganj Kotwali in the year 2019. These were registered separately by the people of Dungarpur colony. There are total 12 cases.
Allegation of using bulldozers on houses
Everyone alleges that at the behest of Azam Khan in the SP government, their houses were forcibly vacated to build shelter houses in the colony. They were beaten and looted. The houses were demolished by using bulldozers. After completing the investigation in these cases, the police had filed charge sheets in the court. Their hearing is going on in MP-MLA Special Court (Session Trial). Three cases were in hearing on Saturday.
However, testimony could take place in one case. Inspector Shrikant Satyarthi of the case was presented on behalf of the prosecution to testify. He is currently posted at Khajuria police station. A case was also discussed by him. His statements have been made in the past. He was cross-examined by the defense counsel. The cross-examination is complete. Now the second witness will be presented by the prosecution in the next hearing.
