Famous singer and one of the talented artists of classical music, Ustad Rashid Khan is no more among us. He said goodbye to the world forever at the age of 55. There is a wave of mourning across the country including Bollywood due to the demise of the classical singer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the demise of the music emperor. He has written a post on social media site X. Let us tell you that Rashid Khan was ill for a long time. He breathed his last on Tuesday in a private hospital in Kolkata. When his health deteriorated, Rashid Khan was put on ventilator and oxygen support. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, the singer could not be saved.

There is a wave of mourning in Rashid Khan’s land Badaun also. His relatives, neighbors and fans became inconsolable. He prayed to Allah for heaven for the deceased. Iftekhar Khan, son of famous singer late Nisar Hussain Khan, told that Rashid Khan had great pride in singing in films. A great artist of the musical family has left this world. May God grant heaven to the deceased. Neighbors and relatives are also saddened by the news of Rashid Khan’s demise.

He told that Rashid Khan had gone to Bombay at the age of nine. Relative Rehana also took care of Rashid Khan in his childhood. Nephew Yusuf and his wife said that Rashid Khan was the emperor of singing. A singer like him will not be born again. Rashid Khan Sahaswan was the pride of Rampur family.

He kept coming and going to Badaun. He used to come every year on Moharram. Relative Imran Khan said that Rashid Khan was singing his gharana. But when he entered the film world, he made the new generation crazy. Today, famous singer Padma Bhushan Rashid Khan of Sahaswan-Rampur Gharana is no more in the world. Due to the news of his demise, the country and the world along with the land of Badaun is in mourning.
