Uttarakhand / Haridwar: Dead body of a young man found floating in the canal, created panic among the people
There was a stir in Laksar area of Haridwar when the body of a youth was found floating in a canal under suspicious circumstances. There was a sensation in the area after the incident. The police have taken the body of the youth in their custody and sent it for post-mortem.

The incident happened on Tuesday. The dead body of a young man was found floating in a canal near Pathri bridge on the way to Ospur village of Laksar. There was a stir in the area after seeing the dead body. On receiving information from the watchman, the police team reached the spot. Police took the body out of the canal with the help of villagers.
Was missing from home in an intoxicated state
The deceased has been identified as Amit (26), son of Sevaram, resident of Munda Kheda. It is being told that the young man was missing from home in an intoxicated state since late Monday night. The family tried to search for Amit. But nothing was found about him. The police have taken the body of the deceased in their custody and sent it for post-mortem.
