Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the State Credit Seminar organized at a local hotel under the aegis of NABARD on Monday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled the State Focus Policy Paper 2024-25. Expressing special gratitude to NABARD, the Chief Minister said that for the development of agriculture, horticulture and small and medium sector industries in Uttarakhand, NABARD has prepared a loan scheme of forty thousand crore rupees this year, which is more than last year. He said that proper monitoring of this loan system is also very important. He said that banks play the biggest role in making loans, loans or credit easily available to the needy and deserving people. Banks will have to take care that needy and deserving people do not have to wander unnecessarily for loan related formalities. For this, banks will have to work on mission mode.
The Chief Minister said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill has been passed in both the houses of the Parliament. The state government is also providing 30 percent reservation to women in government jobs in Uttarakhand. He asked NABARD officials to start special schemes for the women of the state so that women can also get more benefits from these schemes. The Chief Minister said that recently he interacted with the beneficiary women of Tehri district. He told that the Strong Brahmin Utsav Scheme has helped him a lot in marketing. The Chief Minister said that it is very important to have simplification in taking loans from banks for such schemes. He said that it has been seen many times that people who really want to do something are often deprived of taking a loan.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government constituted the Migration Prevention Commission to stop migration in the hilly areas. He called for a special campaign to be run for allotment of loans in hilly areas. Better arrangements should be made so that loans can be easily available to needy people. Banks will play a big role in this work. The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working towards reverse migration, banks should also become partners in this work. He said that each bank branch will have to work with a certain target for the allocation of loan scheme of NABARD. He said that development of rural and backward areas of the state is necessary, it is also very important for our reverse migration mission. The state government is continuously working to strengthen the basic facilities, roads, connectivity etc. in rural areas.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working for the development of Uttarakhand with visionary thinking. Continuous work is being done in this direction to ensure equal development of urban areas as well as rural areas of the state. He said Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Tehri are credit deficient districts. Special attention should be given to increasing loan allocation in these three districts. The Chief Minister said that there are 7.60 lakh beneficiaries of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme in the state and 6.89 lakh farmers have been given Kisan Credit Cards. He said that under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, everyone will have to make collective efforts to provide Kisan Credit Card facility to the remaining farmers also. He said that the government is also implementing schemes like subsidy, credit linked schemes, and interest subsidy for the common people, under which schemes like Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Tourism Self-Employment Scheme, Deendayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme, Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme are being run. Has been. He said that banks should run a special campaign to provide Kisan Credit Cards to all the farmers of the state so that the benefits of loans can reach the farmers on time.
The Chief Minister said that the climate and geographical condition of our state is most favorable for horticulture, aromatic plants, medicinal plants, dairy, fisheries, beekeeping, mushroom farming and organic agriculture. Banks can also run special camps to increase credit flow in these areas. The Chief Minister said that the main objective of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to take the government schemes to those weaker people. He appealed to all the stakeholders, departments and banks to participate enthusiastically in this yatra, make people aware and play an active role in making the government schemes reach the common people. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the target of doubling the income of farmers. The state government is continuously working to achieve this goal.
The Chief Minister said that recently we organized the Global Investors Summit on a large scale. The main objective of which was to establish Uttarakhand as an investment destination, our effort was also successful. In this summit, Prime Minister Modi had made a special appeal to the people of the country and the world to come to Uttarakhand and have a destination wedding, now its positive results are also visible.
During this, NABARD Chief General Manager VK Bisht gave detailed information about various activities conducted by NABARD in the state.
