The wishes of the employees related to allowances of Uttarakhand government have been fulfilled

The years-long wish of government employees regarding allowances was fulfilled by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s cabinet on Wednesday. At the same time, players who have performed well by bringing medals at the national and international level will get the benefit of four percent horizontal reservation. For this, the bill will be brought in the House during the upcoming assembly session. After this it will become law. On the other hand, the government has also approved a special home stay scheme for the vibrant village Jadung of Uttarkashi.

Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu said that various proposals received in the cabinet have been approved. The proposal for a new excise policy for the financial year 2024-25 was also discussed, but the cabinet has asked for further consideration, now this proposal will be brought in the next cabinet. Various matters related to employees were approved in the meeting. A total of 23 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting. JE will get vehicle allowance, 100% child care leave to employees

Till now, assistant engineers working in various departments did not get vehicle allowance. The Cabinet has approved giving him a vehicle allowance of Rs 4000 per month. Similarly, for those officers-employees and government servants who were earlier getting vehicle allowance ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 2700, now it has been agreed to increase it from Rs 1200 to Rs 4000. The condition of payment of 80 percent salary in the second year of child care leave has been removed. Now 100 percent salary will be paid every year in both the years. Change in staffing pattern for promotion in Personal Assistant cadre has been approved. Till now the pay scale was 5400 after 4600. Now there will be a new pay scale of Rs 4800, due to which the employees of this cadre will get a promotion opportunity. The Cabinet also approved the Veterinary Services Amendment Rules 2024, under which Veterinary Officer Grade-2 will now be called Veterinary Officer. At the same time, Veterinary Officer Grade-1 will now come in the pay scale of Senior Veterinary Officer, Deputy Director and Deputy Registrar. Apart from this, Uttarakhand Police Motor Transport Branch Subordinate Services Amendment Rules have been approved. Uniformity will be brought under the rules of the Personnel Department.

Pradhani will not go because of twins

There is a rule in three-tier Panchayats that if the Pradhan or any other public representative has more than two children then he becomes ineligible. If a person had twins after his first child, he was considered to have triplets and was removed from the post. The cabinet has approved the change in this. Now if someone has twins after the first child, then they will be counted as one child only.

Sugarcane support price increased by Rs 20 per quintal

  • Approval to increase sugarcane support price by Rs 20 per quintal compared to last year in the state. Price fixed at Rs 375 for early crop and Rs 365 per quintal for normal crop.

  • After receiving instructions from the Central Government on the Occupational Labor Bill 2020 passed in the state, the government will withdraw this law. The Center had asked to withdraw it due to the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020. The state law will be withdrawn in the upcoming assembly session.

  • More than 50 percent of Covid related expenses can be paid from the disaster budget. Bills of all companies will be paid within a month. As per rules, only 50 percent of the budget could be spent on Covid related activities.
  • The deadline for the single-member dedicated commission constituted for OBC reservation was extended till January 31, 2025.
  • To carry forward the works related to House of Himalayas, the government will form a company instead of a cooperative society. In-principle consent of the Cabinet.
