A heart-wrenching incident came to light from Kanji House in the capital Dehradun. Everyone was shocked to see the dead cows and their pitiful condition in Kedarpuram. From the condition of the cows, it seemed as if the eyes of some cows had also been taken out. The matter came to light after inspection by the Chief Veterinary Officer of the Municipal Corporation. District Magistrate Sonika has taken cognizance of this.

DM gave instructions for investigation
District Officer Sonika’s statement has come to light on the pitiful condition of the cow progeny in Kanji House. The District Magistrate has given instructions for investigation regarding the matter. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found negligent in this. Along with this, the District Magistrate said that now again Kanji House will run under the supervision of Municipal Corporation. Let us tell you that earlier Kanji House located in Kedarpuram was operated by the Municipal Corporation. But in September 2023, as per the instructions of the government, the operation of Kanji House was handed over to Hariom Ashram Kadwapani. The Ashram is responsible for the arrangements for fodder, care and treatment of the cattle coming here.

Dead cows were found in Kanji House
Last Wednesday, the Chief Veterinary Officer had come to inspect the Kanji House built in Kedarpuram. The officers who came to inspect were shocked when they saw dead cows in Kanji House. During inspection, it was found that two cows were dead and six were injured. Seeing this the officers were shocked. After this the officers became furious. Seeing the huge irregularities, the Chief Veterinary Officer has said that strict action will be taken against the operators. Regarding the matter, Chief Veterinary Officer Vidyasagar Kapri has filed a complaint against the operator at Nehru Colony police station.
