Uttar Pradesh / Baghpat: Thieves took away cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs from the wedding hall

Thieves stole goods worth lakhs from the mandap during a wedding ceremony in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. The thieves took away the bag full of cash and gold and silver jewellery. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced. The police is investigating on the basis of this footage. Even after 24 hours of the incident, the thieves could not be traced.
What is the whole matter?
This entire matter pertains to the house of Advocate Ravi Jain, resident of Patti Mehar. Where the well worship program was going on during his son’s marriage. Meanwhile, two youths reached Manjap and took away a bag containing Rs 7 lakh cash and gold and silver jewelery from the spot. After some time, when the attention of the family members went towards the bag, the theft was discovered. After which there was a commotion at Naman Vivah Mandap located on Delhi-Saharanpur Highway, where the wedding ceremony was going on. The police was immediately informed about this. On information, CO Saviratna Gautam and Inspector Sanjay Kumar Sharma reached the spot with the police team. They immediately started a search for the thieves, but could not find them.
Two suspects seen in CCTV camera
When the police looked at the CCTV camera installed in the marriage hall, two suspicious youths were seen going inside the hall. The said youth first drank water and then roaming around reached near the bag. As soon as people’s attention was diverted from the bag, both the youths ran away with the bag. However, the police launched a checking operation to arrest them, but the youth were not caught. At present, on the basis of CCTV footage, the police has started searching for the accused.
