Uttarakhand: Flight started from Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport to Pithoragarh, Kumaon-Garhwal connected with the efforts of CM Dhami

Keeping in view the demand of local people and the desire of pilgrims, flights to Pithoragarh have been started from Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. Today on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Dehradun-Pithoragarh flight from the airport terminal. After this, at 10:10, Fly Big’s 18 seater plane took off from Dehradun Airport for Pithoragarh.
On the first day, a total of 15 people including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flew from Dehradun to Pithoragarh. Fly Big was to start this flight in the month of July, but due to lack of approval from DGCA and due to the company’s own personal reasons, this flight could not be started. DGCA approved this flight after several trials. Has given. After this this flight has been started today. With the launch of this flight, Garhwal and Kumaon have been connected by air.
Income of local people will increase
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed the possibility of this promoting tourism and pilgrimage as well as business. According to CM Dhami, local people will get benefit from the start of air service. Pilgrims will get facilities to visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. CM Dhami said that as a result of the efforts of the double engine government, the much awaited Pithoragarh-Dehradun air service has been started today. With the start of this air service, local people will get convenience in transportation. Through this, tourism in the border areas will also expand further, which will increase the livelihood of the local people.
Low cost airlines
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami fulfilled the long-standing demand of the people for cheap air service between Dehradun and Pithoragarh by giving the green signal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami went to Pithoragarh by plane from Jolly Grant Airport and returned by the same plane after inaugurating the flight at Naini-Saini Airport. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people, Chief Minister Dhami immediately handed over the task of starting the Pithoragarh-Hindon (Ghaziabad) flight service to the Secretary Shailesh Bagauli present with him.
Pithoragarh new center of tourism
After PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Pithoragarh and Adi Kailash Darshan, the attraction of people and tourists towards the beautiful Soor Valley adjacent to China and Nepal has increased a lot. Due to its distance from Delhi, tourists were not able to go to this hill town even if they wanted to due to lack of air service. Once air service starts from Dehradun and also from Hindon, Pithoragarh will become a new and major center of tourism.
From three days to five days
Earlier it used to take 17 hours to go from Pithoragarh to Dehradun, Delhi. Due to the efforts of PM Modi, this period reduced to 11 hours when all-weather road was built. After the start of air service, one can now reach Dehradun in 1 hour. This air service will prove to be a milestone in promoting tourism in Pithoragarh. This service has just started for three days a week. As the number of passengers increases, it will be increased to 5 days a week.
