Uttar Pradesh: Police caught absconding rape accused Govind

Gauribazar police caught the absconding accused of rape late on Saturday night. He had absconded from the court premises during his appearance on Friday. Before absconding, he had also got a clean shave so that the police could not recognize him. The police is busy interrogating him. After his absconding, a case was registered against four people including three policemen due to the tough stance of the SP.

Late Govind, resident of Pokharbhinda, Gauribazar. Shiv Nishad was arrested by the police in the case of abducting a seventh class student along with his two friends, keeping her in his house and raping her. He had escaped from police custody during his appearance in the court on Friday. The police were sweating profusely when he absconded. After his absconding, a case was registered against the strict stance of the SP by keeping three policemen, including an inspector, in line. The police swung into action due to the ultimatum of SP Sankalp Sharma and were conducting a vigorous raid to arrest the absconding accused. Seeing the sword of SP’s action hanging over the policemen, the police started putting pressure on the absconding accused by detaining his close ones. Meanwhile, after getting information about his location late on Saturday night, the police swung into action. A raid was conducted at the exact location and Gobind was arrested. The police heaved a sigh of relief as they succeeded in catching the accused within 36 hours of his escape. After absconding, Govind had clean shaven so that no one could recognize him. When he was arrested, he started pleading in front of the police, citing the financial condition of his house and family. The police is busy interrogating him.
