In fact, 70-year-old Shivaram Yadav, a retired engineer of the Irrigation Department, had lodged a report at the Civil Lines police station against Babli Yadav and her husband Ravi Yadav, residents of Friends Colony, Etawah. Civil Line police station registered a case and conducted raids to arrest the accused. On the information of the informer, within 24 hours the couple, one of their associates Ayush Singh and the goldsmith Pawan Gupta, who bought the looted gold and silver, were arrested.

Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar said that the husband and wife and their gang members used to trap people and loot money from them by making obscene videos. The police arrested the accused after thorough investigation. SSP said that four people have been arrested along with about Rs 3.5 lakh.
