Kiran Rao’s reaction on Sandeep Reddy’s statement, took the side of ex-husband Aamir Khan and gave a befitting reply
Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Animal’, along with being commercially successful, was also in controversies. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is often seen defending his films. In a recent interview, Sandeep had revealed that Aamir Khan’s second ex-wife Kiran Rao had called his films misogynistic (against women).
Sandeep Reddy Vanga could not bear the criticism of his film and without taking his name, he gave the example of Aamir Khan while targeting Kiran Rao. Now Kiran Rao has broken his silence on Sandeep’s statement and said that he has never said such a thing.
Kiran Rao retracted his statement?
Kiran Rao, while talking to The Quint, has clearly said that he has never commented on Sandeep Reddy Vanga, because he has never seen his films. Producer Kiran said- “I have never commented on Sandeep’s films because I have never seen his films. I have often spoken about misogyny and the representation of women on screen. I have talked about it many times on stage, but I have never taken the name of any film because it is not about any particular film. You have to ask him why Mr Wanga assumed I was talking about his film. I have never seen his film”.
Kiran got angry on Aamir Khan’s comment
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, while replying to Kiran, gave the example of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dil’, in which the actor tried to rape his co-star on-screen. Besides, the song ‘Khambe Jaisi Khadi Hai’ from Aamir’s film was also described as misogyny. On this, Kiran took the side of her ex-husband and said that Aamir Khan is one of the few people who have apologized for his previous films.
