Jharkhand: Order to return the land for which Hemant Soren was arrested to the original ryot

Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, arrested in the land scam case, had declared himself innocent on the basis of the information given in the petition filed in the Supreme Court against his arrest.
It has been said in the application that Hemant had attached with the petition the complete history of the 8.5 acre land of Bariatu for which ED had arrested him in the case of trying to grab. However, Hemant Soren did not get relief from the Supreme Court and his petition was rejected.
It was told in the petition that the SAR Court had given an order on January 29, 2024 to cancel the jamabandi of the disputed 8.5 acres of land of Badgai area in Bariatu and return it to the original ryot.
SAR court gave this order
Along with the petition of the former Chief Minister, a copy of the order issued on January 29, 2024 by the court of Special Regulation Officer, Ranchi, Manisha Tirkey in SAR case number 81/23-24 has also been attached. This case was related to Rajkumar Pahan vs. Budhan Ram and others, in which the SAR Court, after reviewing the report of the Circle Officer, had ordered that the said land is under the CNT Act, which has been wrongly bought, sold and frozen.
By canceling the Jamabandi wrongly done on that land, destroy the structure built on it and return that land to the original tenant. In the investigation report of that land, the competent officials of Badgai circle had told that Bakast Bhuihari Pahanai land is in the name of the applicant Rajkumar Pahan and some land is in the name of Budhu Pahan and others.
Many non-tribals bought and sold this land illegally and there is encroachment and encroachment in their name. Notice was given to them from the SAR Court, but they did not appear, after which an order has been issued to cancel their jamabandi and vacate the land. This order has been issued under the CNT Act.
Process of land return accelerated after raid
It has become clear in the investigation of ED that ED became active after the arrest of the then Revenue Sub Inspector of Badgai Zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad in the land scam case, documents recovered from his hideout and evidence found in the mobile.
Regarding the boss’s land mentioned in Bhanu Pratap Prasad’s mobile, Bhanu had told ED that it was Hemant Soren’s land. However, Hemant Soren’s name is not there anywhere in the land documents. ED’s investigation revealed that an attempt was being made to grab the said land by preparing fake documents in the name of him and his family members. Before this, ED’s influence increased.
The first summons was given to Hemant on 14 August 2023
When the history of the land started being scrutinized and the first summons was issued to Hemant Soren in this case on 14 August 2023, only then did the government machinery start getting the documents in order. The investigation report of Badagai zone and the order of the SAR court are a part of that action.
This includes the process from getting the application through the land owner till the decision is taken in his favor. On January 29, when ED raided Hemant Soren’s Delhi residence in the land scam case, on the same day the SAR Court’s decision regarding return of the land was also announced.
