Uttarakhand: Demand for ban on demolition notice of encroachment in Haldwani in Nainital High Court, hearing on petition to be held on 14th
Hearing will be held in the High Court on February 14 on the petition regarding ban on the demolition notice of encroachment in Malik’s garden and Achchan Khan’s garden area of Haldwani.
The case was heard before a single bench of Justice Pankaj Purohit. Haldwani resident Safia Malik and others had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the Municipal Corporation’s notice and demanding its cancellation. The petition said that he has a lease of 1937 which he got from the Malik family.

The government cannot take possession of it. Another petition said that the wire fence should be removed from the garden area of Achchan Khan without demolishing the wall. It was said in the petitions that in the notice issued by the Municipal Corporation, the Madrasa built there has been declared illegal.
