Uttarakhand: 9 wanted for Haldwani violence… Nainital Police pasted posters at various places, appealed to the people

There was massive violence in Haldwani, Uttarakhand on 8 February. The miscreants attacked the police, administration and municipal corporation team that had come to remove encroachment in Banbhulpura area. Along with heavy stone pelting, there was also arson and firing. The police station along with many vehicles was surrounded and set on fire. An FIR was registered in this regard at Banbhulpura police station. Now Nainital Police has released posters of those wanted in the riots.

Along with this, SSP Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena has formed various teams under the supervision of SP City Haldwani Harbans Singh to arrest the miscreants who were involved in the violence. Police teams have examined the CCTV cameras around the incidents.

Also, on the basis of other evidence, 42 miscreants have been arrested so far. Illegal weapons and cartridges have been recovered from them. Posters of 9 wanted miscreants involved in the Banbhulpura violence have been released. Nainital Police has pasted posters of wanted people at various places in the city. Police teams are continuously raiding all the possible hideouts of these miscreants.

Along with this, the police has appealed to the people that if any person gets any information about them, then they should inform on Nainital police number 9411112743/9411112741/ 9411110396 and police control room number 9411112979/ 9412087770.

Along with this, the police has issued a lookout notice against the main accused Abdul Malik and his son Abdul Moeed in the violence case. Regarding the action taken in this case, the police said on Friday that apart from issuing a lookout notice, five more accused have been arrested.

With the latest arrests, the total number of miscreants arrested in connection with the stone pelting and arson incident that followed the vandalism at a madrassa in the city on February 8 has reached 42, an official said. According to the information, the mastermind of this violence, Abdul Malik, had constructed this illegal madrasa and had opposed its demolition.
