Uttarakhand: Government busy preparing for 38th National Games, CS says ‘focus should be on development of sports infrastructure and facilities’

The government has started preparations to host the historic 38th National Games proposed in Uttarakhand. Under which a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi regarding the preparations for the National Games. In which officials have been instructed to lay emphasis on the development of sports infrastructure and facilities.
There is a need to develop sports culture also
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the work being done for the development of sports in the state has to be carried forward in such a way that the young players of the state can also take advantage of it in the coming years. There is also a need to develop sports spirit and sports culture in the state. He said that in view of the National Games, it is necessary to work on the improvement of roads in the state. In such a situation, instructions have been given to complete all the work on time by holding a meeting with the concerned departments.
National Games will be linked to Green National Games
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that officials have been asked to take necessary steps to improve internet facilities. He said that instructions have also been given to link the National Games with the anti-drugs campaign, Green National Games and the campaign to develop sports culture in the state.
Emphasis on use of recycled medals in the meeting
The Chief Secretary said that emphasis should also be laid on the use of recycled medals for organizing the Green National Games, for this he has instructed the officials to donate the souvenirs received on various occasions. During this time, it has also been asked to make arrangements for solar lights in stadiums and sports venues with the help of UREDA.
