Digvijay Singh tweeted and said – Two weeks ago, I had received an invitation from EVM Hatao Morcha to hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar Delhi on 22/02/2024 on the issue of not holding 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the country with #EVM. . Which I accepted. But two days ago, the permission for peaceful protest was also cancelled.

Udit Raj said that he had sought permission to protest against EVM at Jantar Mantar but the Delhi Police canceled it. Thousands of people were chased away by the police and hundreds were arrested. Thousands of us gathered at the Youth Congress office at the alternative venue, which was addressed by Digvijay Singh ji, Deepak Babaria ji, Ka Dipankar Bhattacharya, Mahmood Paracha ji etc. When we wanted to protest, we were arrested and now we are in Sansad Marg police station.
