Sensation due to the murder of an Indian singer in America, armed criminals shot him.
Cases of deaths of people of Indian origin are continuously coming to light in America. Another such recent case has come to light. According to media reports, a Sikh music artist, who was part of a Kirtan group in America, was shot dead by armed miscreants outside a Gurudwara in Alabama. The incident is of 23 February.
Miscreants fired bullets outside the Gurudwara
According to the information, Raj Singh alias Goldy, a resident of Tanda Sahuwala village of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, had gone to the Gurudwara to perform kirtan. He was in America with the group for the last one and a half years. After performing kirtan with his group, Goldie was standing outside the gurudwara when unidentified miscreants shot him.
The person was the only earning person in the family.
Goldie was the eldest and the only earning person in his family. His father Dheere Singh had died five years ago. He is survived by his mother, two sisters and a younger brother. The family has urged the government to make arrangements to bring the body back home for his last rites.
Indian student was found dead in Indiana
Earlier last month, an Indian student pursuing his doctorate at the prestigious Purdue University located in the state of Indiana was found dead. In this case, officials had said that the student had committed suicide by shooting himself. He has been shot in the head. According to a news agency of Purdue University, Sameer Kamath was found dead at around 5 pm on February 5.
