Gautam Gambhir left politics, will not contest Lok Sabha elections

East Delhi BJP MP Gautam Gambhir will not do politics. He made a post regarding this. Gautam Gambhir thanked PM Narendra Modi in the post. Actually, Gautam Gambhir now wants to focus on cricket only. Gautam Gambhir reached Parliament by winning the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Currently he is the mentor of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders team.

Gautam Gambhir tweeted, “I have requested party president JP Nadda to relieve me of my political duties so that I can focus on my upcoming cricket commitments.” He also thanked PM Modi. Gautam Gambhir told PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda that thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve the people.

Gautam Gambhir played match-winning innings for the Indian team in the finals of both the tournaments. Gambhir had scored 75 runs on 54 balls in the T20 World Cup final. At the same time, in the final of the ODI World Cup, he scored 91 runs. Gambhir is currently the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He has also been the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants.

In which that memorable inning of 97 runs in the 2011 World Cup final, due to which India won the World Cup for the second time. He played 11 century innings in ODIs.
