Uttarakhand: Hundreds of Congressmen created ruckus along with Harda, staged a protest outside the Joint Magistrate office

Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat sat on a dharna with hundreds of Congressmen outside the Joint Magistrate office regarding various demands. During this time he raised a fierce hue and cry against the government. He said that the poor are being harassed under the BJP government, which will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Permission should be given to add new units in BPL cards
Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat sat on strike outside the Roorkee Tehsil SDM office. Addressing the protest, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that permission should be given to add new units in BPL cards. New cards should be made for disabled, elderly, poor and widows who fall in BPL category.
Will take to the streets if demands are not met
Harda said that those whose cards have been deposited in the name of renewal, those cards should be returned to the holders and their due facilities should be given from the previous date. He demanded that the order to cancel the leases of our plots allotted to poor and Dalit people should be changed. Along with this, the eviction action against them should be stopped. He said that if the government does not accept their demands then they will again take to the streets and raise noise against the government.
