Major accident during Shiv procession in Kota, Rajasthan, 14 children got burnt due to electric shock; chaos ensued
A major accident took place during the Shiva procession being taken out on the occasion of Mahashivratri in Kota, Rajasthan. Here 14 children got burnt due to electric shock. The local people present at the spot immediately admitted the injured children to the hospital, where doctors are treating everyone.
Let us tell you that the incident happened near Kunhadi Thermal intersection at around 12.30 in the afternoon. This incident has created a stir in the area. It is being told that at the place where the procession was being taken out, the wires of the high tension power line had fallen very low, due to which all the children got injured. According to local people, such a big accident has happened due to the negligence of the electricity department.
A child was 100 percent burnt
Regarding this accident, Rajasthan Minister Hiralal Nagar said that this is a very sad incident. Two children are seriously injured and one has 100% burns. A special team has been formed to provide all possible treatment. Officials have been directed to investigate whether any negligence took place.
14 children became victims of an accident while saving one child
Kota SP Amrita Duhan said regarding the incident that it is a very sad incident. People of Kali Basti had gathered here with their Kalash, a child was carrying a 20-22 feet pipe which touched the high-tension wire. While trying to save that child, all the children present there got electrocuted.
Providing proper treatment to everyone is a priority. The condition of one is critical and he has suffered 100 percent burns. Investigation has been started and if there is any negligence on anyone’s part, it will be revealed in the report. Except for the 25-year-old, the rest of the children are below 14 years of age.
