Uttar Pradesh: Modi inaugurated Moradabad airport, dreams of Mandal residents got wings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Moradabad Airport on Sunday afternoon. With this, after a decade long wait, the dreams of the people of Moradabad to have an airport got wings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated five airports of the state including Azamgarh to Moradabad to the public.
Now flights from Moradabad to Lucknow will start soon. A pandal was set up in the airport premises for the inauguration ceremony. A 16 feet wide and nine feet long LED screen was installed in it. Crowds of people gathered at the airport in Mundhapande to see the dream becoming reality.
More than 1200 people present watched and heard Prime Minister Modi’s address live. Chief guest, district in-charge minister Jitin Prasad removed the curtain from the inauguration stone of the airport after the Prime Minister pressed the button. During this period, District Panchayat President Dr. Shaifali Singh, City MLA Ritesh Gupta, MLC Dr. Jaipal Singh, Gopal Anjan remained busy.
Apart from this, Satyapal Saini, Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon, Rampur MLA Akash Saxena, Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh, DIG Muniraj ji, DM Manvendra Singh, SSP Hemraj Meena were present. Public representatives described the airport as the dream of the people of Moradabad. Said that this will give a boost to the export of brass.

District in-charge minister Jitin Prasad said during the ceremony that at present 19 seater aircraft will fly but people need not be disappointed. This is the first phase, a lot of changes will be seen in the second phase. People will be able to take flights from Moradabad to every big city. The airport will prove helpful in changing the condition of this city. Giving the example of Bareilly Airport, he said that at present the people of Mandal and surrounding areas are dependent on Bareilly. Very soon flights will be started from Moradabad to every major city.

Similar flags have been installed inside the premises. CISF personnel deployed at the airport have been put on alert. 69 soldiers have been put on duty. Apart from this, police and fire fighters have also been deployed.
The schedule of when the flights will start has not been released yet. HPCL company has not received consent from DGCA for the aircraft fuel contract. Due to this, it may take four to five days for the flight to start.
