Uttar Pradesh: Female constable posted in police office in Mahoba molested, victim said- ‘made obscene gestures’

The Uttar Pradesh government is making many claims to stop crimes against women. At the same time, in Mahoba, an incident of molestation of a woman constable posted during police tenure has taken place. The incident of molestation of a female constable posted in the women’s aid cell of the police office created a stir in the police department. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused in the police station.

A woman constable posted in Mahoba police office was molested by a fourth class employee posted in the office itself. Female constables are not safe even in the police office. On the basis of the complaint after this incident took place, the police have started proceedings by registering a case against the accused under serious sections. The victim woman constable is posted in the women’s aid cell of the police office.

The employee used to harass the woman daily
On the basis of the complaint given by the victim female constable in the city police station, the police have registered a case. In the complaint given, the victim said that she is currently posted in the Women’s Assistance Cell of the police office. Subhash Kumar, a Class IV employee posted in the former office, used to follow him with wrong intentions while coming to the office and used to constantly stare at him in the office and make obscene gestures. Not only this, he used to torture her mentally by saying indecent and objectionable obscene things on the phone also.

Police registered a case
The victim was defaming the woman by spreading objectionable, false, obscene and objectionable rumors among other employees in the office. Due to which the victim became troubled with mental pressure. The limit reached when the accused started making obscene comments and abusing her every day. Due to which the frustrated victim has filed a complaint about the entire matter in the city police station. On the basis of which the police have registered a case under sections 504, 506 and section 354 d of intimidation and are taking further action.
