Uttar Pradesh: Air service started from Lucknow to Aligarh

For Aligarh, the day of March 11 was recorded in the pages of history. The first flight from Lucknow arrived about two and a quarter hours behind schedule and the outgoing flight was also departed almost late.

Virtual inauguration took place on March 10

The airport was opened to passengers on the second day of PM Narendra Modi’s virtual inauguration on March 10. The first flight from Lucknow was to take off at 12.55 pm, but it was delayed by two hours and ten minutes by 3.5 minutes and reached at 4.5 pm. While the airline operating company Flybig had claimed that all the tickets had been booked in both the flights, but only nine passengers had booked tickets in the flight arriving from Lucknow.

One of these passengers canceled the journey at the last minute and the plane reached Aligarh airport with eight passengers and 13 people including two pilots, two staff and an air hostess. The flight was to leave for Lucknow at 3.35 from Aligarh, it left at 4.30.

The passengers who reached the airport called the journey memorable and praised the beauty of the airport and expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and state CM Yogi Adityanath.

Let’s fly high together, Aligarh’s first flight departure ceremony was held on the occasion of take off from the airport. In this, State Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh, MLC Dr. Manvendra Pratap Singh, senior BJP leader RP Singh, City MLA Mukta Sanjeev Raja, Dr. Rajiv Aggarwal, Col Anil Parashar, Nikhil Maheshwari, Dharmendra Singh etc. took the first flight to Lucknow. The departing passengers were honored by presenting them with big boarding passes, bouquets and mementos.

On this occasion, BDK Group MD Vishal Garg, Flybig CMD Captain Sanjay Mandaviya etc. were present. CDO Akanksha Rana welcomed the passengers and staff who reached Aligarh from Lucknow.
