Uttarakhand: Chief Electoral Officer held a review meeting with all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police, issued detailed guidelines for conducting the voting safely

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam held a meeting of District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of all the districts in the Secretariat on Sunday regarding the preparations for the elections through video conferencing. In the meeting, Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Purushottam gave detailed guidelines for conducting safe voting in all the districts. The Chief Electoral Officer said that voting is to be held in the first phase in the state, hence awareness programs including sweep activities up to the booth level should be run on a wider scale.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that monitoring should be increased in a more effective manner at the check posts of such districts of the state which are adjacent to the inter-state and international borders. The CEO directed that all agencies in the Election Seizure Management System (ESMS) should fill seizure reports and intercept reports responsibly so that there is no scope for any kind of error. He directed that static surveillance teams in all the districts should take the information received through various mediums seriously and take immediate action on them.
In the meeting, State Nodal Officer (Expenditure and Monitoring) Manmohan Mainali informed that from March 1 to March 16, more than Rs 7 crore in cash, illegal liquor and drugs have been seized in the state, in which the highest quantity was of drugs. Is.
On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police Shri A.P. Anshuman said that force deployment plan has been prepared in all the districts of the state. SSPs/SPs of the districts have been directed to make the communication system smooth in the shadow areas in the remote areas of the state. ADG A.P. Anshuman said that monitoring will be done through drone cameras in inaccessible areas of the state.
