In view of the Lok Sabha elections, all preparations are also being completed by the Election Commission. In this episode, talks were held with representatives of all political parties on behalf of Chief Electoral Officer BVRC Purushottam. During the discussion in the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer appealed for cooperation from all the parties to conduct the voting process in a transparent manner.

The Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in the state and the Election Commission is also monitoring the amount spent by political parties. On Sunday, talks were held with political representatives to complete all the election rallies and nomination related process as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. At the same time, political representatives also suggested the Commission to take steps on some important points during the elections. Apart from this, along with timely granting of all permissions, the issue of equal treatment of all parties was also discussed.

At the same time, a review meeting was also held by Chief Electoral Officer BVRC Purushottam with all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police. During this, guidelines were given to conduct safe voting in the state. In fact, in the month of March itself, more than Rs 7 crore worth of money and illegal liquor has been seized in the state. On the other hand, officials have also been instructed to monitor inaccessible places through drone cameras.

The Election Commission has been asked to run awareness programs for safe voting. Instructions have also been given to increase surveillance at various check posts.
