Heli services are operated for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib every year during the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra, but this year, for the first time in 2024, heli services are going to be started for Badrinath Dham, so that the devotees going to Badrinath Dham can also get the heli services. The benefit of service can be given.

Booking of heli service starts from 10th April

The Civil Aviation Department starts preparations about two months before the start of the Yatra to provide the benefit of heli service to the devotees during the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra. So that the passengers can be given the benefit of heli service as soon as the journey starts. In this sequence, arrangements for heli services for Chardham Yatra this year have been completed. In such a situation, booking of heli services will start from April 10.

Heli service starts for Kedarnath from May 10

At the same time, operation of heli services for Kedarnath Dham will start from the date of opening of doors of Kedarnath Dham on 10th May. Last year in 2023, 8 companies had provided their services, but this time 9 heli operators will provide heli facilities to the devotees.

Five percent increase in heli service fares

Heli services are operated for Kedarnath Dham from Guptkashi, Sirsi and Fata. This year in 2024, the rates of heli services will be increased by five percent. Under the proposed fare, the fare from Sirsi to Kedarnath Dham will be Rs 2886.45, from Phata to Kedarnath will be Rs 2887.50 and from Guptkashi to Kedarnath Dham will be Rs 4063.5.

The doors of Hemkund Sahib will open on 25th May

The doors of Hemkund Sahib, the holy religious place of Sikhs, are going to open for devotees on 25th May. In such a situation, this year the operation of heli service from Govindghat to Ghangaria will start from May 25. Like every year, this year too only one operation will operate the heli service in Hemkund Sahib.

Last year, the two-way fare from Govindghat to Ghangaria was Rs 5950, but this year the fare from Govindghat to Ghangaria has been fixed at Rs 5560, this is the base fare, along with which GST and IRCTC booking fee will have to be paid additionally.

Heli service started for the first time for Badrinath Dham

The operator which is going to provide heli service facility in Hemkund Sahib will also provide heli service facility for Badrinath Dham. For this, 3 hours time has been fixed daily, heli service for Badrinath Dham will start from May 12.

Gauchar to Badrinath Dham fare

The one-way fare for heli service from Gauchar to Badrinath was kept at Rs 3970, but along with this fare, GST and IRCTC booking fee will have to be paid additionally. Heli services for Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath Dham will be provided by a single operator, for which the route has also been decided. Besides, the fare has also been fixed according to the route, under which the fare from Govindghat to Gauchar is Rs 3970, the fare from Gauchar to Govindghat is Rs 3960, the fare from Gauchar to Badrinath is Rs 3960, the fare from Badrinath to Gauchar is Rs 3960, the fare from Badrinath to Govindghat is Rs. CEO C Ravi Shankar said that considering the response to the heli service in Badrinath Dham this season, a decision will be taken to start full time heli service in the next season. Like last year, this year also ticket booking for the heli service operated for Kedarnath Dham, Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath Dham will be done from the IRCTC website. Probably the booking process of heli services for Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham will start from April 10.
