Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Utility overturns on road due to brake failure, 11 people injured

Due to failure the utility overturned on the road. 11 people were injured in the accident. When the condition of four became critical, they were referred to a higher centre. The rest were discharged after first aid. There were more people in the vehicle than its capacity.
According to the information, on Wednesday morning the utility left for Sahiya market from Badnu village. Cash crops were also loaded in the vehicle. There were a total of 12 people including the driver in it. It is being told that the brakes of the utility failed just before Brar village. Due to this the vehicle started going out of control. Seeing a ditch on one side, the driver showed wisdom and crashed the vehicle into a hill on the side of the road. Due to which the utility overturned on the road. Meanwhile, there was shouting among the people in the vehicle. People nearby ran to help.
The injured were taken out of the utility and sent to CHC. After being seriously injured, Balbir Singh (55) resident of Gauthan, Bhopal Singh (67) resident of Maletha and Shivani (37) resident of Badnu, Vivek (6) son of Gyanu resident of Badnu were referred to the higher center after first aid. At the same time, Samo Devi resident Gadheta, Amar Singh Chauhan resident Datanu, Bikram Singh resident Hamrau, Gyanu, Balveer Singh, Kumari Annu, Monica Sehgal, all residents Badnu, have suffered minor injuries.
Block chief Kalsi Mathor Singh Chauhan reached the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured. Revenue sub-inspector Moti Lal Jinata said that driver Brijesh was not injured in the accident. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
