Uttarakhand: Congress, which insults martyrdom, has no moral right to speak on Agniveer – Suresh Joshi

BJP launched a strong attack on the Congress and said that those who used to insult their governments by sending the information of martyrdom on a postcard with a 15 paise stamp along with a black blanket and box, are today spreading confusion about the Agniveer scheme. Whereas Modi Ji is carrying forward the Agniveer scheme with the aim of a strong army and prosperous nation. BJP honored the soldiers by making a senior army officer General Khanduri the CM and even today a soldier’s son is the Chief Minister, working day and night to develop the state.

While talking to journalists at the state media center located at Rispana bridge, state spokesperson Suresh Joshi hit back at Congress’s allegations on Agniveer Yojana and said that they have no moral right to question issues related to the army. He alleged that this is the Congress whose governments used to send home the information of martyrdom on a postcard worth only 25 paise along with a black blanket and a box, and used to make ends meet. After independence, for 5 decades, the Congress governments did this insult along with the martyrdom of the brave soldiers of the country, at the same time the country also saw the period when thousands of hectares of land in the border areas were left to the enemies from a strategic point of view. The infrastructure on the borders was not improved and conditions were created for soldiers to suffer unnecessary martyrdom in the absence of modern weapons and facilities. We also saw their Defense Minister admitting on the stage of Parliament that they did not pursue plans of strategic importance on the borders because their strategy was to avoid direct confrontation with the enemy country. For the first time in the country, Atal ji’s government respectfully transported the mortal remains of the martyrs to their ancestral homes during the Kargil war. Along with this, work was done to provide adequate financial help to the victim’s family and fulfill all their needs. He said, we worked to implement the One Rank One Pension pending for decades, made the lives of soldiers safe by providing them with state-of-the-art weapons and security equipment, today the country is better than the governments that did not buy weapons at the expense of commission. Has become a big exporter of arms.

Joshi said, as far as the Agni Veer scheme is concerned, PM Modi ji has implemented this scheme in the interest of the country along with all the military officers and defense experts. Considering experts and worldwide experiences, this plan, implemented with the aim of creating a strong army and excellent soldiers, is going to lay the foundation of a powerful India. Through which the youth are getting more opportunities for jobs in the army, because in addition to 25 percent permanent appointment, 3 times more youth are getting the opportunity to serve for 4 years. The youth who return to society after serving in the army will be economically strong and skilled. For whom unlimited employment opportunities are waiting in government, semi-government, public undertakings, corporate groups and private sector. Not only this, an alternative military cadre of aware, disciplined and capable citizens is also being created, which will be capable of strengthening the country in any adverse situation. He sarcastically said, this plan of Modi ji, which realizes the dream of strong service and prosperous nation, is difficult to explain to the Congress and all the opposition who are always entangled in the mathematics of vote bank.

Today, everyone in the country and the state knows and recognizes that BJP moves forward with nationalist ideology. Because they are all witnesses that by handing over the reins of Uttarakhand to former Chief Minister General Khanduri, BJP has honored the bravery, discipline and honesty of the army. And even today, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a soldier’s son, is working hard to make the current decade of Uttarakhand, which reflects the potential of this military-dominated state.
