Uttarakhand / Nainital: Half naked body of a woman found hanging from a tree in the forest, created panic, police engaged in investigation

This time’s big news is coming out from Nainital. There was a stir in Mukhani area of Haldwani when a semi-nude body of a woman was found hanging from a tree in the forest on the bank of a drain. There is a sensation in the area after the incident.

According to the information given by the police, the woman was missing from her home for nine days. The woman’s body was found hanging from a tree on the bank of the drain. The body was badly decomposed and some parts of the woman’s body were badly torn by dogs. The woman has been identified as Taradevi (45), wife of Lalit, resident of Mukhani.

Police said that the woman’s husband Lalit is retired from the post of Subedar. Whereas the woman’s two sons are soldiers in the army. The woman’s wife told that on March 26, her wife suddenly went missing from home without telling anything to anyone. The woman’s phone was also at home. After a long search, when nothing was found about the woman, the family lodged a missing complaint in the police station.

On Thursday, Taradevi’s body was found hanging from a tree on the bank of the drain behind the GNG ground in Kamluwaganja. Seeing the woman’s body hanging, people informed the police. The woman was identified by her clothes. The woman’s husband Lalit told that Tara was mentally ill. The woman was undergoing treatment at AIIMS for the last 5 years.

Police engaged in investigation
Regarding the matter, SP City said that the body has been identified and sent for post-mortem. The heel of one leg of the dead body has been torn off by animals. Probably for this reason the clothes below the waist are missing. The cause of death will become clear only after the post mortem report comes.
