Uttarakhand: Child theft gang busted in Haridwar, this is why sister-in-law and brother-in-law kidnapped a one year old child

There was a child theft gang active in Haridwar which was continuously carrying out incidents of child theft. The police have exposed the child theft gang and arrested the accused and handed over the innocent child to his family.

The incident happened last Tuesday. Neetu, a resident of Bihar, had told the police in her complaint that she had left her children at Nai Ghat and had gone to get food. When she returned, her one year old child was found missing. Taking cognizance of the complaint, the police searched 500 CCTV cameras in search of the child. After this this gang has been caught.
Child was kidnapped to beg
According to the information given by the police, this gang used to steal children and make them beg or send them ahead. The family heaved a sigh of relief after seeing the child safe. The accused have been identified as Devendra son of Surajmal, resident of Muzaffarnagar, wife Mukesh resident of Meerut. In both the relationships, sister-in-law is brother-in-law.

Taking the matter seriously, the police reached the spot and started watching the CCTV footage. In which after watching about 500 CCTV footage, a person was seen carrying the child. On which the police team sent a team to Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Roorkee for search.
On Saturday, on the information of an informer, missing child and kidnapper Devendra and a woman were caught near Kaliyar Roorkee Road. The accused told during interrogation that they had kidnapped the child to force him to beg and to make profit by selling the child to some needy person in future. The police have recovered the child safely and handed him over to his family.
