Uttarakhand: Good news for railway passengers of Kumaon division, train will run on this route after 12 years
Good news has emerged for the railway passengers of Kumaon division. Finally, after a wait of 12 years, train operations are going to start again on Lalkuan via Bhojipura-Pilibhit-Lucknow rail section.

Let us tell you that in 2012, Lalkua Bareilly meter gauge rail section was converted into broad gauge. After which the operation of the railway was stopped. Now once again Railways has been given a gift to the people of Kumaon by the government. Express train will start operating from Lalkuan to Howrah on this railway section from April 25.
The train last ran on this route on January 31, 2012
Let us tell you that the work of converting Lalkuan Bareilly meter gauge railway section into broad gauge was done. Due to which Nainital Express train operated for the last time on 31 January 2012. After this, rail traffic stopped on this railway section. Whereas Bhojipura Lucknow railway section also remained closed since 2016. Due to which rail traffic was completely stopped.

Lalkuan Howrah Special Train Lalkuan Howrah Special Train 05060 will leave from Lalkuan at 2 pm on Thursday. Kichha at 2:30 pm, Bhojipura at 3:55 pm, Pilibhit at 4:23 pm, Puranpur at 5:25 pm, Mailani at 6:30 pm, Gola Gokarnath at 6:55 pm, Lakhimpur Kheri at 7:42 pm and 9:35 pm. Will reach Sitapur at 12:00.
After this it will reach Balamau at 11:05 pm, Gonda at 11:25 pm and Basti at 12:55 pm. Where this train will reach Howrah at 9:30 pm on the next day via Khalilabad at 1:35 pm, Gorakhpur at 2:15 am and Chapra at 3 am. Similarly, this train will leave Howrah Junction at 11:30 pm on Friday and reach Bandel Junction at 12:30 pm.
The train will reach Vardhaman at 1:42 am, Durgapur at 2:37 am, Asansol at 3:30 am and Jazia Junction at 6:05 am. After this, this train will reach Samastipur at 11:40 am in the day, Muzaffarpur at 1 pm and via Chhapra Rural at 4:20 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 10:10 pm. Whereas it will reach Gonda at 11:25 pm, Balamau at 1:35 am, Sitapur at 3:40 am and Lakhimpur at 6:10 am.
This special express train 05059 will reach Lalkuan at 1:55 pm via Gola Gokarnath at 7:20 am, Mailani at 9 am, Puranpur at 9:46 am, Bhojipura at 11:35 am and Kichha at 12:43 pm. This train, being run for ten trips, will run from Lalkuan every Thursday and from Howrah on Friday from April 25 to June 27.
