Uttarakhand: Supreme President of Matrisadan Swami Shivanand raised questions on the mining report submitted by the administration in the court, called it ridiculous

Matrisadan’s Supreme President Swami Shivanand has raised questions on the report of illegal mining submitted by the administration to the Chief Standing Committee in the High Court. Describing the report as ridiculous, he said that there are huge irregularities in it. Said that despite the ban, illegal mining continues. While talking to journalists at Matrisadan on Thursday, Supreme President Swami Shivanand said that the district administration has submitted a report of action taken on illegal mining in the High Court. There is a huge mistake in this. In the report, the administration has taken action against 235 illegal miners and has recovered Rs 36 lakh 96 thousand 946 against the fine of Rs 25 crore 90 lakh 80 thousand 132.

Illegal mining continues despite ban

Even after this, the outstanding fine amount is being said by the district administration to be Rs 26 crore. How can the dues be more than the fine imposed? Due to this, questions are being raised on the action of the administration. At the same time, it is also becoming clear that illegal mining is continuing even after the ban.

He said that the fight for the protection of Ganga is being fought in the High Court on behalf of Matrisadan. In this, action is being demanded against illegal mining in Ganga and its tributaries.

Illegal mining in Ganga and its tributaries is being done by Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. The Court Commissioner has also given this in writing in the court. Despite this, Uttarakhand Development Corporation is not being blacklisted.
