12 fake booking websites of Chardham Heli Service closed, till now crackdown on 76
Chardham Yatra is going to start in Uttarakhand from 10th May. The doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath Dham are to open on 10th May. Among these three Dhams, maximum booking is being done for Kedarnath. Meanwhile, the cyber police has also intensified its efforts to stop fraud in the name of booking Kedarnath Heli service. Cyber Police, in collaboration with I4C Home Ministry, has so far blocked 76 websites related to Chardham and saved hundreds of people in India from fraud.
Last year in 2023, 64 fake websites were closed. So far this year, a total of 12 fake websites have been identified and closed. Besides, cyber police has also issued advisory to avoid cyber fraud.

Let us tell you that last year too, cyber thugs cheated hundreds of people across the country in the name of Kedarnath Heli Service. Last year, 64 such websites were closed. Along with this, around 40 cases were also registered in different police stations. This time also, after the cyber police started action against such websites, 12 websites have been closed. SSP STF Ayush Aggarwal said that like the year 2023, this year also STF started a campaign to block and close fake websites. Year 2024: Yukada of Uttarakhand government has signed a contract with IRCTC this year also. UCADA has prepared a brochure with all the information regarding registration and helicopter service related to Chardham. STF and Cyber Crime Police Station are continuously monitoring the fake website. Taking action on this, till now a total of 76 fake websites have been closed.
