Madhya Pradesh: Deputy Collector arrested on rape charges, action taken after complaint of female employee

Major action has been taken against a Deputy Collector in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh. The Deputy Collector has been arrested on rape charges. A female employee of the Revenue Department had leveled rape allegations against the Deputy Collector.

What is the whole matter?

Following the complaint of a female employee, the Deputy Collector has been arrested on rape charges. Police gave this information on Friday. An official said that a woman employee of the Revenue Department had complained on April 29 that in 2016, Abhay Singh Kharadi, posted as the then Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Barwani, raped her several times.

Barwani women police station in-charge Alka Monia said that after the complaint, Kharadi was arrested from Bhopal on Thursday night. According to the officer, the female employee said that accused Kharadi tortured her physically and mentally. The Deputy Collector was currently posted in Ujjain. He said that Deputy Collector Kharadi was produced in the local court on Friday, from where he was sent to jail. Further investigation is ongoing.
