Forests are burning in Uttarakhand, Chardham Yatra is on the horizon, ministers are missing amidst challenges! The opposition said it was unfortunate

These days the forests of Uttarakhand are blazing with fire and Chardham Yatra is also on the horizon. Meanwhile, many leaders including the state chief are busy in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In such a situation, dealing with these two big challenges may prove to be a difficult task for the government. Although Chief Minister Dhami is giving instructions to the officials regarding these matters from time to time, but only time will tell how much the officials are following these instructions and how much difference it is making on the systems.
Forests burning in Uttarakhand
Forest fire incidents are becoming increasingly serious in Uttarakhand. The current situation is that forest fire incidents have occurred at 20 places within the last 24 hours. Also, since November 1, 2023, 930 cases of forest fire have been reported till now. Due to which 1196.418 hectare forest area has been affected. Also, 5 people died and four people were injured.
Many leaders including the state chief are busy in elections
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Telangana, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal Assam, and Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj are busy in election campaigning in other states instead of looking after the arrangements for Chardham Yatra. Meanwhile, the opposition party Congress has raised questions on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal and Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj.
Congress raised questions
State Vice President of Congress, Mathura Dutt Joshi said that it is very unfortunate for the state that when ministers are needed in the state, the ministers are busy in election campaigning. Forest fires are continuously increasing, due to which not only the wild animals but also the people have started facing problems, because the forest fires have now reached the roads. He said that Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is starting from May 10, but till now the arrangements for Chardham Yatra have not been completed. In such a situation, those to whom the government has left the state to overcome these challenges, also seem to be happy.
BJP said all ministers are doing their work
State General Secretary of BJP Aditya Kothari said that the fire in the forests is a matter of concern. To overcome this, its root causes will have to be known and permanent solutions will have to be considered. Pine leaves are a major cause of forest fires. Therefore, the state government has sent a letter to the central government regarding the eradication of pine. He said that there is no issue of leaders disappearing, rather everyone is busy in their respective work. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Forest Minister are continuously holding meetings with the officials and efforts are being made to stop the forest fire.
Question on government formation
Senior journalist Jai Singh Rawat said that it is a matter of great misfortune for the state of Uttarakhand, because on one hand the forests of the state are burning with fire, on the other hand the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is also going to start, but despite this, the state’s Instead of looking after the arrangements, the ministers are busy campaigning in other states and the entire responsibility of these arrangements has been left to the officials. He said that if all the work has to be done by the officers then what is the need for forming the government.
