Former Indian Army soldier killed in Rafah, Gaza, was working for the UN

At the same time, one more employee was injured in the incident.
The deceased was a former soldier of the Indian Army
The Indian UN employee who died in Rafah was a staff member of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (DSS). The identity of the deceased Indian has not been revealed yet but sources confirmed to PTI that he was from India and was a former soldier of the Indian Army. Let us tell you that this is the first time that an international UN employee has died in the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
UN chief expressed grief
UN chief Antonio Guterres has expressed condolences over the death of UN personnel. He said that a UN vehicle was attacked in Gaza, one of our colleagues died and another was injured. He said that more than 190 UN employees have died in Gaza. The Secretary-General has once again appealed for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and release of all hostages.
Rafah is the last stronghold of Hamas – Israel
