General Secretary of National Colliery Labor Union Shri AK Jha, Union Vice President Rampreet Yadav, Ramchandra Paswan, Ved Narayan Singh, Mahesh Prasad, Sunil Rai today visited the collieries of Borragarh, Bhalgoda, Horladih, Balihari, Gopalichak, Bera, Dobari, Ghanuadih, Golakdih etc. In the workers’ colony, he went to the workplace and directly communicated with the Congress Party candidate, Mrs. Anupama Singh, daughter-in-law of late leader Rajendra Babu, to win the elections.

Later, in a statement issued to the press, General Secretary of the Union Shri AK Jha said that the current parliamentary election is a question of life and death of the workers, farmers, exploited, oppressed, Dalits, minorities, students and youth of the country.

BJP has handed over all the assets of most of the public establishments of the country to a few capitalists. All doors of employment have been closed. A long army of unemployed youth has been raised. The youth and laborers of India, suffering from the problem of poverty and hunger, are protesting because of the capitalist thinking of the BJP government. The BJP government has forced Dhanbad, a city of prosperity and immense natural resources, to live a life of helplessness. The government has completely failed on the issue of inflation and unemployment. After independence, the government has imposed taxes on food items, medicines, education, health and even the shroud.

The person whom BJP has made its candidate by failing all the parameters in this parliamentary election, his hunger for loot cannot be quenched. Dhanbad has been accused of extortion, land grabbing, economic crimes, women oppression, labor oppression, economic oppression of small traders. He has declared his candidate for handing over. Even before the elections, he issued criminal threats to the respected leader of the state, who was MP and MLA for three consecutive terms. Also, the honorable candidate did the work of giving character certificate against the MLA of his own party, threatening him and defaming him. The present BJP candidate has torn parliamentary decorum and social decorum to pieces.

Shri Jha said that the struggle that late leader Rajendra Babu had done on the issue of coal workers and unorganized workers of the country, the voice he raised and the rights he got, is incomparable in itself. During his short-term tenure as Minister of Jharkhand State, Rajendra Babu worked for the all-round development of Dhanbad by fully supporting Honorable Mannan Malik, former Minister. In his capacity as Finance Minister, there was no dearth of funds for the development of Dhanbad. As the Electricity Minister, Sindri ACC Company and FCI provided electricity connections to thousands of displaced homes within 24 hours. In his capacity as Health Minister, Rajendra Babu stopped the plan of closure of Nirmal Mahato Medical College, Dhanbad. Got SSLNT Hospital started. Got the closed Sadar Hospital of Dhanbad started within 3 hours. Got Nursing Training Institute constructed in Dhanbad. Saved many coal based industries from closure. Many important works were done and got done in the interest of workers and officers of DVC, BCCL, Sindri Fertilizer, DGMS, CMPF office. Not only this, Dhanbad was kept in no cut zone with the help of DVC by keeping full administrative pressure on DVC in the matter of power supply.

Mr. Jha said that late leader Rajendra Babu worked for the people of Dhanbad till his last breath. His daughter-in-law Anupama Singh, following the footsteps of Rajendra Babu, followed the instructions of public leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Kharge Saheb to save all the public establishments of Dhanbad, reinstate youth on vacant posts, and eliminate economic crimes from Dhanbad. Is determined to provide relief to the public against extortion and land grabbing policy. The people of Dhanbad parliamentary constituency are determined to change the condition and direction here. On May 25, people from every section of the society are determined to rise above caste, community, religion and strengthen the Indian alliance. Anupama Singh’s victory is the victory of farmers, laborers, youth, students, women, businessmen, all the intelligentsia and general public of Dhanbad.
