Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2024: The number of devotees reaching Kedarpuri on the seventh day of the opening of doors has reached close to two lakhs. Till Thursday evening, 1 lakh 83 thousand 677 devotees have visited. Let us tell you that this might be the first time when such a large number of devotees have reached here to have darshan of Baba Kedar in the first seven days.

Heavy vehicles coming
Thursday was challenging due to traffic since morning. A large number of passengers reached the district in private and public vehicles. Due to single lane and bottle neck at some places from Fata to Sitapur and Sonprayag, the main stop of the Yatra route, the police force has made arrangements to operate traffic from both the sides one by one as per the roster to ensure smooth flow of traffic. .

While reaching the destination, some devotees are violating traffic rules and disrupting the traffic system. In such a situation, not only the passengers following the traffic rules are getting troubled. Rather the entire journey is being affected. To control this situation, District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar and SSP Dr. Visakha Ashok Bhadane brought the jam situation under control by fielding all the officers and employees for traffic management.

Late night, District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar himself reached the spot along with Sub-District Magistrate Rudraprayag Ashish Ghildiyal and inspected the travel route from Kund to Sonprayag and smoothened the disrupted traffic. Let us tell you that before this, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Ghildiyal himself was busy in smoothening the traffic between Guptkashi, Phata, Shersi, Badasu and Son Prayag on the spot.
