Entry of passenger vehicles traveling without registration has been stopped on the route leading to Kedarnath Dham of Rudraprayag.
Government is strict on those traveling without registration
A large number of devotees and passenger vehicles are coming for Kedarnath Dham Yatra. More than 1 lakh 80 thousand pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham in the last seven days. Let us tell you that there is a certain capacity to stop at the yatra stops including Kedarnath Dham. The parking lots located in Rudraprayag also have a fixed capacity. After a vehicle enters the parking lots located in Sitapur and Sonprayag, that vehicle remains in the parking lot for three days.
Vehicles are not being given entry without registration
To reduce the pressure of vehicles, vehicles coming from outside are being checked at Chowki Jawadi Bypass. Vehicles going towards Badrinath Dham are being allowed to pass through the main market Rudraprayag. Whereas in the vehicles going towards Kedarnath Dham, passengers and vehicles are being allowed to go only after registration on the prescribed date. Entry of passengers and vehicles coming without registration into Kedarnath route has been completely stopped.
Gaurikund being sent by shuttle service
Traffic on the route leading to Kedarnath is being controlled and is being directed towards Sitapur and Sonprayag. In view of the evacuation from Sitapur and Sonprayag parking, the policemen appointed at the temporary barriers established in Tilwara, Kakdagad, Narayankoti, Dagdya Barrier (FATA) Shersi are coordinating and sending vehicles ahead from these places. The passengers who have reached Sitapur and Sonprayag are being sent to Gaurikund through shuttle service only after forming a queue to send them to the shuttle parking lot in Sonprayag.
