During checking at the Registration Center Heena located on Gangotri National Highway, when the registration bar code was checked, the registration date of two passenger buses was found to be fake. There were 88 pilgrims in both the buses. It was told by the devotees that they were cheated by two tour operators named Tinku and Matu from Haridwar by making fraud in their registration.

On the complaint of the devotees, a case was registered against both the tour operators at Kotwali Maneri under relevant sections for fraudulently preparing fake registration on government documents. Regarding the matter, SP Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi appealed to the passengers that no passenger should come on the journey without registration and before the date of registration.

Action will be taken against those doing fake registration

SP Uttarkashi said that all the devotees should register themselves from the official site only. Don’t get misled by anyone. Constant checking is being done in the registration centres, if anyone’s registration is found to be fake then they will not be allowed to travel. Strict action will be taken against those doing fake registration.
