Yamanashi Prefecture said in a statement through Japan’s Overseas Press Center on Monday that under the new rule, only 4,000 climbers will be allowed to enter the route and a fee of 2,000 yen (about US$18) will be charged per day. . 3,000 slots will be booked online and the remaining 1,000 can be booked in person on the day of the climb.
