Uttarakhand: Devotees ruined Har ki Pauri

People in India have a lot of faith in religion. Following religion, people visit the holy places situated on inaccessible hills. Hindus have a lot of faith in the river Ganga. It is believed that the river Ganga has been brought down from heaven to this earth. People’s faith in the purity of the water of the river Ganga also increases because the water of this river never gets spoiled.

If the water of other rivers is stored in a bottle, then insects start growing in it. But the water of the river Ganga never gets infested with insects. Every year many people come to take a dip in the holy water of the river Ganga. But humans have left no stone unturned in spoiling the condition of this holy river. Today, the Ganga has taken the form of a drain at many places. A video of the filth spread by people at Haridwar’s Har Ki Pauri was shared on social media.

Piles of garbage were seen

The river Ganga originates from Gangotri. The water of the Ganga remains very clean from Gangotri and below it. People come to Haridwar to take a bath in the Ganga. For the safety of people, many ghats have been built in Haridwar, where chains are tied to the water so that people do not drown in the water. There is a crowd of devotees at Har Ki Pauri throughout the year. But a young man showed a glimpse of the garbage spread by people on this ghat.

Plastic is thrown on the stairs

People who come to bathe at Har Ki Pauri leave garbage on the stairs. This includes empty plastic, clothes taken after bathing, etc. People do not pick up these plastics and put them in the dustbin. After some time, these plastics start floating in the water or animals eat them. It can be said that even Ganga Maa herself will get angry after seeing such a condition of the river Ganga.
