Indian mountaineer Satyadeep created history, made a record by climbing Everest and Lhotse
Indian mountaineer Satyadeep Gupta has become the first person to climb Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse twice in a season. Apart from this, he has also created history by crossing the two peaks in 11 hours and 15 minutes.
According to Pioneer Adventure Expedition, which organised the expedition, Satyadeep completed the climb to the 8,516-metre high Mount Lhotse on Monday afternoon and to the 8,849-metre high Mount Everest at 12:45 am.
According to the adventure company, this is the first incident of climbing the world’s highest and fourth highest peaks in a season. This had never happened before. He also created another record by becoming the first Indian to travel from Mount Everest to Mount Lhotse in 11 hours and 15 minutes.
He was accompanied by mountaineer guides Pestemba Sherpa and Nima Ungdi Sherpa. Gupta climbed Mount Everest on May 21 and Mount Lhotse on May 22. According to Pioneer, he is the first person in the world to complete this double climb.
